Sorry for my English.
For a long time I have been using the editor TextShield. This editor is wonderful, but the developer stopped working on it. I am looking for a replacement editor. I found your which is also very good. I'm testing. One thing I noticed strange is the long time to open the program. My operating system is Windows 7 64-bit.
Thank you for providing this software.

Using TAB char as TAB and keeping a TAB 3 spaces wide, does not seem to work.

It still replaces the tab character with *8* spaces!

How do I do this?

Thanks for the great program! It's great that it is configurable and easy to use. Before I install it, I would like to ask a question.

I use Notepad a lot to strip out formatting, fonts etc from text I have cut elsewhere and pasted into Notepad, ready for cut & pasting somewhere else, and I'd like to use Intellipad in a similar way.

What I'd like to do is to double click on text in a single line and for it all to be hightlighted. In Notepad I can do this if there are no spaces in the text. However, I need to be able to do this including the spaces between words.

I can do this in Notepad if I 'swipe' it using the mouse, but it can be error prone doing it this way quickly.

I want to be able to select everything on a single line, or more lines up to a paragraph long just by double clicking with the mouse. Speed is of the essence here!

I can always make sure that the line(s) of text to be selected finishes with a period (full stop) if that helps!

Can Intellipad do this, or can it be configured this way?

Maybe you can put the system requirements (in terms of Windows compatibility) on the IntelliPad pages somewhere. Thanks.

Here is a method you can use to to automate a similar kind of tasks using different configurations.

Here is an example of a configuration file.

[PROJECT_NAME]
Project A

[PROJECT_PATH]
C:\projects\project-a\resources\

[PROJECT_RESOURCES]
"0001", "ITEM1-1", "ITEM1-2"
"0002", "ITEM2-1", "ITEM2-2"
"0003", "ITEM3-1", "ITEM3-2"
"0004", "ITEM4-1", "ITEM4-2"

Here is what you have to do:

Use the GetSection function to read the sections in the configuration file:

Example:

var
  doc: string
  i: integer;
  ProjectPath, ProjectResource, ProjectName: string;
  FileList: TStringList;
  Output: TStringList;

begin
  doc := document.text;
  FileList := TStringList.create;
  Output := TStringList.create;

  // returns the project name 'Project A'
  ProjectName := GetSection(doc, '[PROJECT_NAME]');

  // returns the project path
  ProjectPath := GetSection(doc, '[PROJECT_PATH]');

  // returns the project resource list
  // (you may need to use comma deliminated text handling to read
  // the items in the list)
  ProjectResource := GetSection(doc, '[PROJECT_RESOURCES]');

  // read files from the path to process them
  FileList.Text := LoadFilesByMask(ProjectPath, '*.csv');

  for i := 0 to FileList.count-1 do
  begin
    // do something using ProjectName, ProjectResource, etc ....
    Output.Add('add the output items here....');
  end;

  // this will display the output list in a new window.
  writeln(Output.Text);

  FileList.free;
  Output.Free;
end.

Place this action code into the Command Toolbar for execution. Open as many document with different configurations to execute them based on the respective configuration file.

Hope it helps.

var
  s: string;
  i, p: integer;
  sl: tstringlist;
begin
  sl := tstringlist.create;
  sl.text := Document.Text;

  for i := 0 to sl.count-1 do
  begin
    p := StringPos(' ', sl.strings[i], 0);
    sl.strings[i] := Copy(sl.strings[i], p+1, length(sl.strings[i])-p+1);
  end;

  Document.Text := TrimRight(sl.text);

  sl.free;
end.
